Also, heads up to Crash N. Sane trilogy owners — A hidden Spyro Reignited demo/preview may be unlockable at some point soon (the original Crash game featured a demo for Spyro, makes sense that they would sneakily include it in the remaster)!

Last year, PlayStation fans were thrilled to see the Crash Bandicoot trilogy get the HD remaster treatment.

…Yet many were upset to see the Spyro trilogy left in the dark.

Trust me — It’s beyond due for a revamp.

THE.WAIT.IS.OVER. …well, sort of.

The graphics comparison is like night & day. Like Vanilla Coke vs Pepsi.

Rumors started spreading heavily earlier this week, after gaming network IGN received a mysterious package in the mail from the sender Falcon McBob, containing a purple egg… Which may contain a purple dragon, perhaps??

More rumors spread after a user under the name Falcon McBob appeared on Twitte & tweeted the official Crash Bandicoot Twitter account — with Falcon McBob’s account officially being @SpyroTheDragon (the account’s nickname has since switched back to Spyro). Fans soon realized that “Falcon” was the code name for a game Activision and the game dev company “Toys for Bob” (McBob) was working on…  Suddenly, fans are livid.

^Click into the picture, and look closely into Crash’s right eye — you may see a slight reflection resembling Spyro!

Amazon first broke the news, showing off PS4 & Xbox One box art & including screenshots of the upcoming re-release… And it looks phenomenal (see the screenshots at bottom of article).

^…Wait…. Not just a PS4 release?!?

Then, this morning, the @SpyroUniverse page tweeted the official title & a screenshot of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, telling you to keep an eye on Falcon McBob’s @SpyroTheDragon Twitter account.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy releases on PS4 & Xbox One September 21, 2018!

***FYI — The Spyro Reignited Trilogy may have been announced specifically for Xbox One & PS4 at this time, BUT — The game dev company Toys for Bob (which is currently working on the Spyro trilogy) specifically worked on the Switch port of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy in the past (none of the other console versions)… Which leads me to believe they’ll be announcing a Spyro Reignited Trilogy for Nintendo Switch in the future!***
