Moncton man arrested following Wednesday night incident involving firearm discharging, woman injured
Codiac RCMP have arrested a 32-year-old Moncton man following an incident Thursday night involving a firearm discharging & a woman being injured.
Jake Allen Woods appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on March 21 and was charged with:
• discharging a firearm while being reckless as to the life or safety of another person;
• discharging a firearm knowing that, or being reckless to, another person being present;
• careless use of a firearm;
• possession of a prohibited weapon without a licence.
On March 20, 2019, at around 11 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a residence on High Street in Moncton after receiving a call of a gunshot.
A 40-year-old woman was injured and transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Jake Allen Woods has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on March 25 for a bail hearing.
