Council approves development

Moncton city council has approved a development off Mapleton Road which includes a hotel restaurants and stores.

The Times and Transcript reports council has rezoned the land from residential to highway commercial zone, despite arguments from some area residents concerned about increased traffic and a lack of infrastructure.

Codiac Transpo also decided earlier to extend bus service along Mapleton to service the new development.
