Big Hearts – Small City

New Brunswick charity Big Hearts Small City says it’s in rough financial shape with few donations coming in.

The organization helps those in crisis situations from helping those stranded in emergencies to finding places to stay for domestic violence victims when shelters are full. It currently operates in Moncton, Fredericton and Miramichi.

Founder and President Jason Surette says until the organization can raise more money, they will be unable to help those who need it.

Surette says during the month of August, over $1,200 was spent helping people, while only $100 in donations came in.
