Boater still missing

RCMP continue to investigate the disappearance of a 42 year old man from Saint-Louis-de-Kent after the small boat he was in sank in Northumberland Strait near the Bay of Saint-Louis.

A woman was rescued around 8:00 Wednesday morning by fishermen. She was taken to hospital with non-life- threatening injuries. She, the man and their dog had left Kouchibouguac National Park around 4:00 in the morning in a 16 foot boat.

The joint rescue coordination centre called off the search at dusk Wednesday and turned the matter over to the RCMP.
