Protein drinks and seniors
U-N-B researchers say it’s very hard for people over 65 to gain significant muscle mass with just exercise or anything else.
That’s why they’ve launched a study on a protein drink that claims to build muscle without having older adults break a sweat. U-S-based Plasma Nutrition believes its product, Moto Protein, has greater benefits than other protein shakes because it is more easily digested. The product has been approved by Health Canada, but it has never been tested to see if it has clinical implications for seniors.
