Police Looking for Witnesses to Crash Injuring Two Teens in Haut-Sheila

Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed a crash that seriously injured two teenagers in Haut-Sheila on Friday night. Around 10pm two 17-year-olds from Val-Comeau and Brantville were ejected from a vehicle that left the highway, rolled several times and came to a stop in a ditch. The two youths were taken to hospital in Miramichi with serious injuries. Shortly before the crash an RCMP officer observed the vehicle speeding and driving dangerously and passing other vehicles on a stretch of road where passing isn’t permitted. The vehicle in question was a blue, 2000 Volkswagen Golf. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the vehicle in question prior to the crash is asked to contact the Tracadie RCMP.
