Education plan released

The Gallant Government’s announcement of its ten year education plan has been received favolurably in most circles. Premier Gallant unveiled the plans saying they will focus on results but will give school authorities and teachers more flexibility.

Guy Arsenault, president of the NB Teachers Association, says the government seems committed but he wants to see details on what resources will be put into the classroom to meet those goals.

Opposition critic Jody Carr likes the plan in general and applauded the government for building on the previous education plan.
