Wife beater going to jail

A man who beat his wife unconcious is going to jail.

Max Gerald LeBlanc was sentenced to nine months, less time served, for assault and breach of court orders after the incident in May in a Park Street apartment. He was also fined $600 and will be on probation when he gets out with a firearms prohibition.

The wife told the judge the assault was no big deal, saying LeBlanc was only a monster when drinking and she doesn’t fear it’ll happen again. However, the judge noted past domestic violence on his record and said more jail time was needed.
