Council declares seat vacant

A by-election will be held in November to fill a vacant seat on Moncton City Council.

The Times and Transcript reports longtime councillor René Pepsi Landry passed away from cancer last month and council has now officially declared his seat in Ward 4 vacant.

Elections New Brunswick will be notified and will likely schedule a election for November 14th, when other municipal byelections are already scheduled.
