Two giant towers of light illuminated the night sky over lower Manhattan in a tribute to 9-11 last night.

The National September 11 Memorial and Museum’s art installation was switched on at sundown and stayed on all night.

Over 2,200 passengers and crew landed in Moncton that fateful day when all flights in North America were grounded. Some stayed in hotels but most were put up at the Moncton Coliseum.
