Premier on bilingualism
Premier on bilingualism
Premier Brian Gallant talked about bilingualism and diversity in a Saint John speech yesterday saying his government has to do a better job promoting its benefits.
Gallant told the Chamber of Commerce it takes work, co-operation, and frank discussions to make bilingualism work. The Premier says it benefits the economy and social fabric. He said despite the uproar over the need for separate school buses for French and English students, the per capita cost is actually 3% less than in Nova Scotia.
Gallant will be delivering the same speech to an audience in Caraquet tomorrow.
