Boil advisory in Port Elgin

A boil water advisory has been issued for the Village of Port Elgin.

They are replacing an underground water main valve and the Health Department issued a notice yesterday for the boil order to remain effect until further notice.

All water meant for ingestion such as drinking, washing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables for instance must be boiled for at least one minute.
Boiling is not necessary for other household or personal hygiene use like showers.
