Stranded dolphins at Lameque Island

Area residents say a pod of dolphins is stuck in a shallow waterway at Lameque Island. Animal rescue crews are hoping to use acoustic pingers  to herd the six stranded dolphins back into open ocean.

Seven got stuck last Wednesday and one of them died a couple of days later.  Of the six remaining, two are young calves.
