Premier on carbon tax

Premier Brian Gallant says any extra money generated by a carbon tax in New Brunswick will be re-invested the spur economic growth and a green economy…and it will be revenue neutral.

Gallant called it premature to say what route his government will take after the Prime Minister announced this week Ottawa would impose a carbon tax if the province’s didn’t.  The premier is waiting for recommendations on climate change from a legislative committee by the end of the month.
