E-U won’t ban our lobsters

Maritime Lobster Fishers and shippers are breathing easier after the European Union said it would not be imposing a ban on live lobster imports.

That was under consideration after a complaint from Sweden which said it found 32 live lobsters in its waters and that they were an invasive species.  The commission ruled there was a lack of strong scientific evidence to support the idea that North American lobster were taking hold in European waters.
