The Atlantic Cancer Research Institute in Moncton has received $3 million from Ottawa to help develop a new liquid biopsy to detect cancer.

Researchers are working on a new approach for detecting and monitoring the biomarkers of cancer, and potentially other diseases, in blood or urine samples.  That will reduce the need for current invasive and painful biopsies.
