DESCRIPTION:This Sunday\, wear blue & join in memory of 5-year-old hockey player Tate Hughes at the first Skate For Tate on Sunday\, February 18th at the Avenir Centre in Moncton from 9am to noon. \nDonations will be accepted at the door\, with proceeds going to Open Ice for Kids Inc. on behalf of the Hughes Family to help more kids get the opportunity to experience the joy of hockey. \nFrom Tate’s father\, Craig Hughes: “I couldn’t imagine what life would be like right now without all the support we have received from our friends\, family\, coworkers\, strangers\, and the Hockey Community. Our goal going forward is to make sure that others less fortunate will be able to feel the love of this community as well and to keep Tate’s memory going for all!” \nA silent auction will be held\, 50/50 draw\, t-shirts sold\, as well serving snacks & hot chocolate — and special guest Wild Willie will be joining you on the ice! \nNote: No hockey equipment permitted on the ice.
