The Greater Moncton Progress Club has kicked off their weekly “Pledge For Progress” 50/50 draw, happening every Thursday at 7pm!

The Progress Club has officially teamed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton 50/50, with proceeds from the draws going to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Moncton and all the great work they do with youth throughout the Greater Moncton area.

The weekly draw can be entered by purchasing 1 ticket for $2, 3 for $5, 10 for $10 or 25 for $20, online up to the time of the draw. Up to 52 weeks can be purchased at a time. Tickets will be issued for that weeks draw and sequential weekly draws for that purchase. The Community Pledge for Progress 50/50 draws will take place at Masonic Lodge on Thursday at 7pm and the winning ticket will be selected by a random number generator.

This is a weekly draw to help our local Progress Club raise money for kids in need throughout our community.

“Our Service Club organization has operated in Greater Moncton since 2001 and nationally since 1922. Our Club mission, through the eyes of a child we serve to build a stronger community, is more than just another tagline; it is our guiding principle. We don’t just raise and distribute funds; we often get involved and invest in sweat equity with our charity partners. Whether it is charitable donations, helping a family going through a crisis, swinging a hammer or painting a fence at a local charity, we are driven to help children do what’s important for them: grow up healthy, have fun and live life to the fullest. The activities we undertake and the causes we support always focus on improving the lives of young people and their families in our local community. We are proud to say that 100% of all the funds we raise stay local.

In supporting children and families, we take a unique approach from other important organizations in the community. For example, rather than buy medical equipment for our hospitals, we focus on the small things that often get overlooked, like toys, games and family room furnishings that make a difficult time more bearable for sick children and their families. We keep many Christmas trees for needy families from being bare on Christmas morning by sending out food, stockings and presents. We buy renovation materials and provide the labour to help some of our local charities keep from falling apart.”
